Southampton are near confirming a takeover of the membership, the PA information company understands.
Chinese language businessman Jisheng Gao bought an 80 per cent stake in Saints in 2017, with Katharina Liebherr retaining 20 per cent.
Gao has been seeking to promote for a number of years and the PA information company understands an announcement is imminent confirming the sale.

Sky Information have reported that Dragan Solak, who owns the United Group, can pay £100million for Gao’s stake.
Southampton are at present 14th within the Premier League with Ralph Hasenhuttl’s aspect drawing 1-1 with Tottenham of their final match.
