Sir Richard Branson and Carphone Warehouse are set to gather windfalls of £110 million every after agreeing the sale of their French cellular three way partnership, Virgin Cell.
The French model of Virgin Cell, which is separate from the British model run by Virgin Media, has been snapped up by French big Numericable for 325 million euros (£265 million).
Branson’s empire and Britain’s Carphone every maintain stakes of round 46 per cent, with administration holding the rest. Virgin Cell launched in France in 2006.
