Il Divo singer Carlos Marin has died aged 53, the group has introduced.
The German-born Spanish baritone’s bandmates – American tenor David Miller French singer Sebastien Izambard and Swiss tenor Urs Buhler – paid tribute to him on Sunday.
In an announcement on Twitter they mentioned: “It’s with heavy hearts that we’re letting you already know that our buddy and companion, Carlos Marin, has handed away.
“He shall be missed by his associates, household and followers.
“There’ll by no means be one other voice or spirit like Carlos.
“For 17 years the 4 of us have been on this unbelievable journey of Il Divo collectively, and we’ll miss our pricey buddy.
“We hope and pray that his lovely soul will relaxation in peace. With Love — David, Sebastien and Urs.”
On December 16, the group had posted that Marin was “within the hospital” and that they have been “hoping and praying for a speedy restoration”.
The reason for demise was not made clear, although stories in Spanish media steered Marin was intubated after being admitted to an intensive care unit in Manchester.

Il Divo had postponed the remainder of their December UK tour dates by a 12 months “as a consequence of sickness”.
Marin had been on stage performing earlier this month.
The classical crossover group, comprised of a worldwide melting pot of singing stars, was fashioned by Simon Cowell in 2003 beneath his SyCo document label, although they later parted methods with the music mogul.
In his private life, Marin was married to French-born singer Geraldine Larrosa – higher recognized by her stage identify Innocence – till 2009.
Tributes to Marin poured in on social media, with TV presenter Lorraine Kelly tweeting: “That is so unhappy. I had the enjoyment of interviewing Carlos and Il Divo many instances over time.
“He was such a category act. Ideas with everybody who cherished him”.
Bruno Tonioli, a decide on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, wrote: “Devastated @ildivoofficial @carlosmarin_ handed away.
