Six casualties have been reported after a fireplace broke out at a home in Wishaw North Lanarkshire.
The alarm was raised simply earlier than 7.30pm on Friday, with emergency companies closing off Stewarton Road as they responded.
Locals shared movies of police, ambulance and fireplace service autos on the scene of the fireplace on social media.
Fireplace crews remained on the scene later within the night.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fireplace and Rescue Service mentioned they had been alerted at 7.26pm.
She mentioned: “Operations management mobilised 4 home equipment to the scene and firefighters are working to extinguish a fireplace affecting a two-storey property.
“Six casualties had been handed into the care of Scottish Ambulance Service and crews stay on the scene.”
