A lady has been arrested on suspicion of homicide after the loss of life of a five-year-old boy in Coventry.
The boy was discovered with critical accidents at an tackle in Poplar Street, Earlsdon, quickly after 5.55pm on Tuesday.
He died on the scene.
A 49-year-old girl, who police mentioned was recognized to the kid, was arrested and brought into custody for questioning.
West Midlands Police mentioned a cordon is in place within the space as they examine.
Superintendent Ronan Tyrer mentioned: “That is an absolute tragedy and our ideas are with all these impacted by this horrible passing.
“The lack of any life – particularly one so younger – is at all times extraordinarily painful and we all know it will trigger loads of shock and concern.
“A suspect has been arrested and it’s essential we permit time for detectives to totally examine the circumstances across the loss of life.
“We’ll proceed to have a policing presence within the space and do our greatest to assist everybody throughout this troublesome time.”
